TotalModel.com is a veritable goody-bag of modeling news, tips, features, reviews and reference material. We wanted to create a site where people could come and see all about the latest models, companies and techniques. Today the Internet is littered with all kinds of model related web sites. Even the most enthusiastic fan hasn't got time to visit them all so we've tried to put all the best bits in one place!
The very term "models" encompasses a wide and diverse
array of different hobbies. At TotalModel.com we do not focus on any one interest in particular. Rather, we aim to give equal status to all of them.
Our pages are crammed with military models, wargaming miniatures
and even model railways. This may seem odd at first
but there's much to be gained from this approach.
All forms of model making are - ultimately - about creativity. By aligning such apparently disparate interests
together on one website, you are tapping into a truly rich vein of model making artistry which everyone can dip into, explore and even learn a thing or two!
Many well-known manufacturers have been invited to use
TotalModel.com as a platform on which to present news about their company and products. As a means of introducing each company - especially to those readers who haven't encounted them before - each manufacturer is provided with their own "profile
page". The profile page also includes contact details, a direct link back to their official website plus headlines from their latest news story. A full list of all the companies featured on TotalModel.com can be found here.
Each manufacturer is provided with space in our special "Showcase"
gallery in which they can display images of their products.
They are also encouraged to submit their news and other announcements
- which we then compile and post on our news pages.
TotalModel.com conducts an "open door" policy. Featured
companies can send in as much news as often as they like and
we will post it as soon as it arrives. Unfortunately, we cannot
control the order in which these bulletins are received. At
times, this can make TotalModel.com appear biased in favour
of one particular modelling pursuit at the expense of others.
This is not the case - but merely the
result of our open door policy which reflects events as they
happen.
TotalModel.com is - first and foremost - a model maker's website.
Non-commercial: TotalModel.com is an entirely non-commercial
project. It doesn't cost anyone anything to appear on these
pages. There are no advertising rates or fees of any description.
Model companies and enthusiasts alike can use every aspect of
this website FREE OF CHARGE.
Featured Companies: Each person, product or company that
appears on these pages has been invited to do so. The terms
of their presence is not governed by any contract, agreement
or favour of any sort. They are - in every sense of the word

Stats: TotalModel.com was launched on 1st August, 2002.
At the time of writing (28th June, 2005) the site is generating
in excess of 13,500 page views per DAY.
