"Sîn Assyris is part of that rare category of clones that can't be placed into any particular class. His genetic heritage is absolutely unique and his creation was decided by the Alchemical Emperor, the Basyleüs himself. The Empire's most brilliant Alchemists worked on his conception, which took months of research and considerable amounts of Gems of Darkness."

- extract from the narrative on one of the cards © Rackham 1996-2003.

The Sîn Assyris figurine comes in four pieces as shown in the photograph, the main body with separate arms and head. Once again, the sculpting detail is excellent and the casting reproduction without flaws. Yet another figurine produced by Rackham with the cloak billowing around the figures' legs. A little very thin flash is evident in places but easily cleaned with a fine needle file but it can be quite tricky to clean the mould line around all of the minute details. The chitinous style of the armour is particularly noteworthy, instantly recognizable on a Dirz figurine.

The use of separate arms allows the pose to be achieved and also makes painting easier of the parts are assembled afterwards. The head is the usually ball & socket attachment that can be pinned for added security. Both arms join the body of the figurine at the shoulder so the joint can be disguised easily at the armour edge. The casting gate for the arms is at the elbow or at the edge so doesn't interfere with the fit at all.

The pack includes the character card, game cards and ones for use in conjunction with the Incarnation booklet. The colour photograph on the character card gives an example of a paint scheme, although only the best miniature painters will be able to emulate it.

The Incarnation rulebook is included with any 'adventurer' figurine (the code on the blister identifies them) and provides background and rules for running narrative campaigns where the Adventurer can gain experience and evolve from one game to the next. Cards are provided for 3 Acts specific to Sîn Assyris.

Positive: Great sculpture and comprehensive printed material.

Negative: Slightly awkward cleanup of mould line around fine details of the sculpture.

Value: Pretty good for the quality of the figurine and there's a lot of extras in the pack.
