An extremely aesthetic range of 6mm buildings!

I think it's sometimes difficult to judge the quality of 6mm building objectively - simply because they're so small. After all, no one expects a model which is only an inch or two high to exhibit the same level of detail as something almost 5 times as big! That said, I believe a good model always stands out from the crowd - regardless of scale. I'm pleased to report that these examples from the Old Crow range of 6mm models do just that!
The image on the right (click for an enlarged view) actually depicts 3 separate items: the two tall Aerofoil Towers at either end (£4.40 each), the large central Aerofoil Block (£3.30) and the 4 short Corridors (£1.65 for 4) which join the whole thing together. As you can see, the entire Old Crow 6mm system is modular - so there is no limit to the number of configurations that can be assembled. This particular set-up is 210mm long x 125mm high.
Each piece is cast in smooth creamy resin which is entirely free from blemishes and air holes. I'm also impressed with way in which each piece has been hand finished, ensuring that everything stands straight as a die.
It has to be said that these buildings won't win any prizes for detail. The surface of each casting ranges from smooth - to smooth with a few linear ribs! This, however, is only half the story - for what these models lack in detail they more than make up for with sheer style. In the big book of futuristic forms, these things would demand a chapter all of their very own. The tall Aerofoil Towers are particularly elegant and pleasing to the eye.
Plus: An extremely aesthetic range of 6mm buildings that would look fab on any wargames table.
Minus: A bit bland - but only if you like lots of detail.
